He served on the Board of Trustees of the Federation, the Jewish Community VOICE and was the recipient of the Shelly Greenspan Young Leadership Award in 1992. He was a member of the Young Leadership Council, volunteered in the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey’s Men’s Cabinet and at Super Sunday. While practicing Dentistry for nearly forty years, Shpeen was actively involved in the Jewish community. Shpeen was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. Harold Shpeen, he was a lifelong resident of Southern New Jersey.Īfter graduating from Dickinson College where he was Captain of the soccer team, he earned a master’s degree in Human Physiology from Farleigh Dickinson University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania followed by his training specializing in Endodontics from Temple University Dental School.

Stephen Shpeen died on Tuesday, Apat his home in Voorhees surrounded by his loving family after a courageous and valiant struggle with ALS.
